Dr. Jeffrey Weinstein was born and raised in Belle Harbor, NY. He took an interest in practicing medicine at a young age as a volunteer at Peninsula General Hospital and Peninsula Volunteer Ambulance Corps. He graduated from Poly Prep Country Day School in 1992, and then went on to earn a B.S. in Chemistry at Union College in Schenectady, NY. Dr. Weinstein was a member of Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, and he graduated Magna Cum Laude with departmental honors.
Dr. Weinstein went on to pursue a Doctor of Medicine degree at SUNY Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn. Upon completion of medical school, he completed a 4 year combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics ("Med/Peds") at Staten Island University Hospital (affiliated with both Kings County and SUNY Downstate Medical Centers for Pediatrics). In Dr. Weinstein's final year he assumed the role of Chief Resident.
In 2004, Dr. Weinstein moved with his family to Sullivan County and became a hospitalist with Catskill Regional Medical Center. He and Dr. Jill Burns shared a vision to open a private practice that would provide quality healthcare with a personal touch.
